Ruby and I are hanging out with my parents today. In order to prevent another mishap like Friday night, I decided to just stay out here, rather than playing out various nightmare scenarios in my mind. I felt like I was part of Sesame Street gone wrong. This robbery brought to you by the broken letter H.
I brought school stuff to work on, so I'll do that until Jimmy gets home, and then we'll head back.
Mom did make hot breakfast which is nice-I would have probably eaten oreos (shh, don't tell my diet plan) had I been at home. And I have since enjoyed a mocha latte and baked a german chocolate ooey gooey butter cake.
The boys ended up getting a 2 seed out of the district basketball finals, unfortunately. They should have won, but didn't-it was just a little disheartening to see. They go to regionals next weekend and need two wins to go to state. Finger crossed they can make it!
I did have fun yesterday, regardless. We had lunch at Chili's and the hostess thought Ruby needed some crayons to color with. Nevermind the fact that she can't sit up-she'd probably like to color.
Something happened yesterday that I could have never imagined. Mom was explaining some text messaging feature to me in which you can text message to a landline and actually hear the message that comes through. I had no idea-talk about showing my age!
