eating machine
We started Ruby on solids last week and she loved them. She is definitely our child-she loves food. She'll be five months old next week (!!) and she seemed more than ready to start. Plus I can't keep her my tiny little baby forever. She hasn't given up any of her nursing, which I was a little concerned about, so that's reassuring. She did not love the banana we gave her. I wish I had my camera because her face was priceless. As soon as you brought it close, she could smell it, and her face turned sour. Mean mommy that I am, I kept doing it because her face was so funny.
I just looked at the calendar yesterday and felt a little let down by my poor counting skills. I thought this last week was the first of the four that I have left but, actually I now have four weeks left (16 school days. Oh how I love 4 day weeks).
I have a sudden urge to do all things crafty. Unfortunately, I have things standing in my way, so I'll have to wait until April is over before I can pursue any of these things. For now, I can justify the learning of digital scrapbooking because I don't have to drag a whole bunch of things out. And, between you and me, it really looks like I'm working hard on my lesson planning since both are done on my computer. Shh.
I have no doubt the Ruby's toes will be finding their way into her mouth her shortly. She noticed that she has toes awhile back, but she is now grabbing them. Faces are another thing she loves to grab. I don't love playing this game with her, though, because her nails rival that of an eagle's talons.
Look closely and you can see her chicken hairdo (mohawk). She loves it, can you tell? Pitiful little face.

Our little ones are so much alike! Minus the gender difference, and the fact that mine isn't all that smitten with solids yet.
Your daughter is gorgeous...in all of her many facial expressions! I love the pictures of Ruby eating. I remember this like it was yesterday with my now 18 month old son. I miss those days!!
Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
What a sweet baby!
