Did someone transport myself, my family, and my home to Seattle?? What is with the rain lately? Being that my brother is from there, I suppose the only logical explanation would be that he brought it all with him. Except for, you know, it started last week before he arrived
We did manage to escape the drizzle for long enough yesterday as we enjoyed dinner and a nice healthy, competitive match of Holy Moly (similar to this) in which Team Meredith & Hillary proved to be an epic fail. I think we lost four in a row to Jimmy and Mom, despite our best efforts to ride a broom, make bawking noises, and laughing, all in the name of throwing them off their game. We did enjoy a nice dinner, I snapped some great photographs, and then Ruby vomited all over the place. We'll just pretend that part didn't happen (as it turns out, she was not a fan of avocado). Poor Uncle Eric got the worst end of that situation.

I got a letter in the mail today from the University-all due to some form of miscommunication, they are withholding my degree. It's nothing I did, but I should have followed up with the first letter they sent (which was right around the time I had Ruby, so saying I was distracted would be a tremendous understatement). Basically, I was enrolled in a course last fall-but the associate dean had already marked me down as having completed the equivalent of that course (taken at another school and transfered in), so I ended up dropping it. Being that I was having a baby that semester, I decided not to be a real go-getter and take [essentially] the same course twice. Well, that course was on my graduation planning sheet which you would think was like turning in a Latin dissertation to the Records office and they have all decided they can't figure it out themselves. Thus, it becomes my headache. When they sent the letter last time, I did contact my advisor (who should win the award for Hardest Person in the World to Reach), and he never replied. I forgot about it. It's not a big deal-I have until July to figure it out, but it is holding up my teaching license which could pose a problem should any hiring opportunities arise. Here's hoping the brainiacs at the University can figure this out with me. Unfortunately, I am anticipating a trip down there to fix things-that should be a highlight.
We're off to the Rockies game tomorrow. Hopefully the rain lets up for tomorrow-sitting in the cold, wet weather with a baby doesn't sound like my idea of a fun time. The trip out to dinner afterwards sure does, though. We're going to Rodizio Grill. Here we go sabotaging the diet yet again. I can't seem to catch a break with all of these temptations. Somehow, the numbers on the scale have decided to play nice and begin dropping again. We'll see how long that lasts.

Eww, hope they fix everything soon and without you needing a separate trip!
Also, Ruby's bows and little fat rolls are freaking adorable. My babies didnt/don't have fat rolls... and I'm so jealous!
Such beautiful pictures of Ruby! The colors are so vibrant and of course she is a doll!
I hope that you get things straightened out with your diploma. What a nightmare!! That's the last thing you need to fuss with.
