oh, the life.

My to-do list could rival the length of the Great Wall of China and here I am blogging.  Actually I'm just taking a break from my compulsive etsy surfing because my head is full of dancing monogrammed things and girly accessories.

Monograms.

I might have a problem with them.  The saddest thing is that they are a one time only kind of thing because lets face it, I may be institutionalized if I named my next kid Ruby Elliana.  Even using identical initials is out because my mother in law named her boys such similar-sounding names that Jimmy feels like he's Jeremy half of the time anyways.  I can assure you, he has never once been thankful for being confused for his brother; what an identity crisis.

I plan to make a quilt with all of Ruby's monogrammed things.  No, that's a lie.  I plan to have a quilt made.  Because as it is, I don't even know how to sew [yet], much less quilt.

I'm currently searching for a plain white dress with a pink monogram.  I must have something very specific in my mind because I can't seem to find it.

What a rough life I live-my biggest problems are laundry and deciding on what monogrammed item to purchase next.

We had a laid-back and relaxing weekend which was much needed for my sanity.  This teething molars business is not for the light-hearted and we've been suffering through it for months now.  We're waiting on her last bottom one before I hope to see a solid chunk of sleep in my future.  It has also made for plenty of whining and gray hair.

Yesterday we had our belated Easter dinner with my family since they were gone over Easter, in sunny Tuscon (jealous).  Ruby snuggled her grumpy little self up with her papa and took a two hour nap right when we got there.  That made for a much easier night, a night filled with lots of ham, a cherry popsicle, and lots of loving for Ruby.

Aside from attempts to hammer down my to-do list, I am looking most forward to baking my own creation (in my head, this is a happy little marriage of cookie dough, brownie, and ganache; you may want to stick around), eating dinner and the mail today.

ha. hahaha. haha.

Oh, the life of a stay at home mom.
