Rodeo Royalty

Cowboy boot-clad, but managing to keep pink and a bow in the picture, Ruby managed to be the youngest rodeo contestant at our local rodeo today.  Aunt Mere is the Rodeo Queen and looked so beautiful; Ruby was enamored with her sparkling chaps and all other things shiny that adorned her.

Meredith wanted to take Ruby out to do the stick horse race in the middle of the arena.  I wasn't sure how she would do, but warned Meredith she may be piggy-backing it, and sent them on their way.

She was the smallest little thing out there.

Probably the cutest too (unbiased opinion, of course).

And by golly, she did finish it, even if it was 10 minutes after the others kids.

Bless her heart, she is just so cautious.
