A couple weeks ago, Jimmy and I took Ruby to the zoo with her Ama, Papa, and Aunt Moo. She still talks about her day there; I look forward to so many more times at the zoo and other places of discovery.
Her highlights included feeding the giraffes, petting a baby wallaby, chasing a tortoise, and eating cotton candy. However, her very favorite thing was riding the carousel, which she did twice because she couldn't stand to walk past it as we were leaving. Hearing her yell "Wheeeee" as she went round and round was so precious. It's the simple things in life!
Ruby spends so many of her days talking about the "ah-muhls" and she has sounds or motions for many. It was fun to see those connections being made from book illustrations to seeing the animals in person.
