25 Days of Christmas Cookies: Fudge

Okay, so these aren't cookies, but there's chocolate and butter involved and fudge is rich and perfect with milk.

And best of all, this contributes to my holiday weight gain every year, so it's only fair that it's included.

My grandma has fudge stored in fun glass jars, set out around the living room during Christmas.  It's one of those horrible things that sits there and taunts your tastebuds.

I have tried so many fudge recipes with varying amounts of ingredients, fun optional ingredients, and even weird secret ingredients.

Here's the thing...I have a serious problem with grainy fudge.

So, this is my own recipe, one that I have adapted using my favorite tried ingredients, and it turns out perfect every time.

Fudge
1/4 cup butter
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Grease a glass 8x8 pan well and set aside.

Place first four ingredients in pan on medium heat and stir constantly.  As soon as the chocolate chips in the mixture are melted, remove from heat immediately.  Stir in walnuts and place in the prepared dish.

Cover and refrigerate until fudge is completely set.  Cut into small pieces.
