cheesy garlic buffalo bread
I have this need for buffalo-flavored things. Today, I got the brilliant idea to put my desire for fresh baked bread and chicken wings together, and boy are my hips ever sorry.
This happened to be a time where my made up recipe came together like magic; this is going to become a staple in our house. The flavor is subtle but unique - I can eat this plain, with my homemade butter concoction, or as sandwich bread and never be disappointed.
Bonus - it's a bread machine recipe which takes all of the mess and kneading work out of it.
Use the basic cycle (I did light crust); 1.5 lb. loaf.
Place ingredients in order that they appear:
1 1/4 cup warm water
3 Tbsp. hot sauce (I used Frank's wing sauce)
3 Tbsp. ranch dressing
3 cups of flour (I added an additional 3/4 cup after the kneading cycles, so 3 3/4 altogether)
1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 cloves of garlic
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
Whipped Buffalo Cheddar Butter:
1/3 cup butter or margarine; use your preferred bread-buttering spread
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon buffalo sauce
Whip together using hand mixer.
