At this time last year, a brilliant Halloween idea flittered through my brain as I thought about myself one year into the future, with two little ones. I have googled myself into oblivion, searching for the perfect match the image in my head. Waiting for one message to make or break the costume search, and then I'll move on.
Mulled cider wafts and a brisk breeze outside entertain the promise of fall right around the corner. Last minute trips to the splash park with picnics await us. That, and trips to the craft store to fulfill my need for various crafting inspirations. (Many thanks, Pinterest for being such a time sucker.)
The start of homemade Christmas gifts litter various corners of my house. The rest remain, yet to begin, inside my head.
Pumpkin spice and cinnamon, cool weather ventures, trips to visit family, final BBQs.
The start of fall is near.
Trips to the zoo produce delighted squeals, up close and personal visits with the budgies, giraffes, turtles, and baby wallabies. Cute babies carted around by those that love them most, carousel rides, and excitement overload induced post-zoo comas.
